I thought I would write a little bit about myself here.  :)  I created this site to share my creations with the world.  On this site you will find IncrediMail Stationery, Paint Shop Pro Tutorials, and Desktop Wallpapers.  In the future my site may grow to include other things but right now that is all that THIS site will include.  I have a separate site for my pixels called Lysa's Pixel Palace.  I also have a blog where I post my scrap kits called, All Things by Lysa.  My tastes and style has changed over the years.  This time I'm going to update some of my older stats and the stats that I no longer like I will not be putting back up on my site.  I'm pruning things.  I'm going for quality over quantity.  :)

You should also know that you will find stats with ratings from G to AC.

Before snagging anything please read my Terms of Use.

Now I'll tell you a little bit about myself.  :)  I'm married to a wonderful man named Dale.  :)  This year (June 21st, 2011) made 10 years since we got married.  We have one angel baby in heaven and 2 other children of the feline variety.  They are our life.  :)

Gracie's Story

Gracie is a 12 year old black domestic short hair cat.  We adopted her from the Bangor Humane Society in 2002.  She was my reward for agreeing to go for my drivers license.  She was transferred from the Waterville Humane Society.  Gracie had been there for awhile and they were going to put her down.  It seemed that nobody wanted to adopt a black cat.  Well I for one didn't have any of the same superstitions or prejudices.  I was walking around in the room with all the cat cages and as I was near Gracie's cage she reached out her paw and grabbed me.  I took it as a sign and asked to see her right away.  We went into the visitation room and she rolled around in my lap.  She chose me, I couldn't NOT take her home.  We adopted her and she's been with us ever since.  We wouldn't have it any other way.  She's our baby girl.  :)  She's especially a Daddy's girl.

George's Story

George is an 8 year old Maine Coon mix cat.  We adopted him from The Ark Animal Shelter in 2004.  I really like that shelter because it's a no kill shelter.  They also don't have all their animals in cages.  The dogs have their own large pens inside and out.  The cats once they have been to the vet and are cleared of any health problems get to roam all over the building (except for the dog area).  They are in a new building now than when I adopted George and I haven't visited this new building but that was how it was in the old building.  Anyway, one day Dale and I went to The Ark to look at cats and dogs with the idea that we wanted to adopt another cat.  I walked all around and tried to play with some of the cats.  When I went upstairs to the other cat room I saw this beautiful but pathetic looking cat.  I only say pathetic in the sense that she looked like she had a rough past, but she sure didn't seem to let it bother her.  She was missing parts of her ears from frostbite.  She was extremely friendly and I just had to take her home.  :)  I wanted to take her home right away but we had to get permission from Dale's mother as we were living with her at the time.  We came back the next day with Dale's mom so she could meet the new cat and she thought she was adorable.  So we next had to test her to see how she was with other cats.  She spent the entire time we were there on both occasions on top of a tall cage in a comfy bed so she wasn't near any other cats.  I picked her up and put her on the floor with some other cats and she hissed and tried to fight with them.  Alas, she wasn't for us.  So I put her back up in her bed, disappointed, but glad we learned this before we adopted her.  The entire time I was in that room playing with this cat, this beautiful Maine Coon mix was foot surfing, chirping, and trying desperately to get my attention.  I picked him up and he just cuddled right into me, purring so hard and loud it just put a smile on my face.  He cuddled with all of us, and we adopted him.  We took him home that day.  He's been with us ever since.  :)  Like Gracie, George chose us and we wouldn't have it any other way.  He's my baby boy.  :)  He's a total Mama's boy.

Besides PSP I also have a huge love of reading.  I have a Barnes and Noble Nook that I got in November of last year.  I read every night for hours and I also read on the bus to and from appointments.  Not having a car while sure has been annoying in some respects it's been great for my reading habit.  :)  Some of my favorite series are (in no particular order):

Anita Blake by Laurell K Hamilton
Meredith Gentry by Laurell K Hamilton
Signs of Seven by Nora Roberts
The Highlander Series by Janet Chapman
Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer
Signs of the Zodiac by Vicki Pettersson
House of Night by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

Besides reading and playing in PSP I also enjoy watching tv and playing board and card games with friends.  :)  Some of my favorite tv shows are: Charmed, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, Lost, Alias, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, ER, True Blood, Scrubs, Stargate SG:1, and I'm sure there are others.  :)

My favorite colors are blue, purple, and green.  :)

I will add more to this page if I think of more to add.  :)
